Welcome to paradise (Caribbeans)

Dear lovelies,

EN – Paradise was amazing, but everything great needs to have an end. Luckily, there always are photos which make us feel the sun on on our skin, the waves rocking us and the feeling of laziness that got along with us.

Lucky fishes that we are, Love and I went sailing in the Caribbeans for two weeks on a beautiful catamaran (Bali 4.0). From Grenada to Saint-Vincent, we cruised between the islands, snorkeled, visited and, last but not least, got some good rest.

In order to put two weeks in a nutshell, discover my favorites spots and times of the trip.

FR – Le paradis était incroyable, mais toutes belles choses ont une fin. Heureusement, les photos nous aident à ressentir le soleil sur la peau, le bercement des vagues ainsi que le sentiment de paresse qui ont accompagné notre voyage.

En chanceux que nous sommes, Love et moi-même avons fait de la voile aux Caraïbes pendant deux semaines sur un super catamaran (Bali 4.0). De Grenade à Saint-Vincent, nous avons voyagé entre les îles, nagé, visité et surtout nous nous sommes bien reposés.

Pour résumer deux semaines de vacances, je vous fais découvrir mes “spots” et mes moments favoris.

EN – First, I am taking you to the Tobago Cays in Saint-Vincent. It was the first time I met turtles in the transparent sea – they are so peaceful and quiet as they wander around. The one day, we went to look for bottles of rum at Petit Tabac where a famous scene of “Pirates of the Caribbeans” was shot !

FR – Pour commencer, je vous embarque aux Tobago Cays à Saint-Vincent. Une première, car j’ai rencontré des tortues dans l’eau transparente – elles sont si apaisantes et calme lorsqu’elles passent leurs chemins.  Un jour, nous sommes allés à la recherche de bouteilles de rhum à Petit Tabac, là où une des fameuses scènes de “Pirates des Caraïbes a été tournée.

EN – In the area, there is the very local town of Union annexed by Happy Island. The first one is very typical with fruit markets, reggae heritage and cocktails. The other one is just a bar on a small island (now you know where the name comes from), where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset and some rum punches (always with moderation).

FR – Dans la région, il y a la petite ville locale de Union annexée par Happy Island. La première est très typique avec ses marchés de fruits, l’héritage du reggae et les cocktails. L’autre est juste un bar sur une petite îles (maintenant tu sais pourquoi on l’appelle comme cela), où nous avons admiré le couché de soleil et bu quelques rhum punchs (toujours avec modération).

EN – Talking about sunsets, there is nothing more beautiful than the light at the end of the day. It means that it is time to shower, put something nice on (yes because you spend your days in a bikini on a boat) and get some white wine with peanuts out !

FR – En parlant de couché de soleil, il n’y a rien de plus beau que la lumière d’un jour qui s’achève. Cela annonce une douche, un joli vêtement (oui parce que tu passes tes journées en maillot de bain sur un bateau) et un apéro !

EN – On a boat, warm “showers” of rain are always wished because they come as they go, very quickly, and therefore they rinse salty skins from the sea, clean and leave a feeling of pureness in the air.

FR – Sur le voilier, les chaudes “douches” de pluie appelées grains sont toujours souhaitées car elles arrivent comme elles repartent, très rapidement. Aussi, elles rincent la peau salée par la mer, nettoient et laissent un sentiment de pureté dans l’air.

EN – We felt very honored to be part of a trip like that, because not only it is beautiful, but the Caribbeans are still preserved from the western world influence. Indeed, people still leave at a slow rhythm, eat what they plant and enjoy their traditions.It was very enriching to merge in a different culture.

To conclude, the best was that we were part of an amazing team of friends and family with whom we spent great moments.

FR – Nous nous sentons très honoré d’avoir pris part à ce voyage, non seulement parce que c’était magnifique, mais car les Caraïbes sont encore très préservés de l’influence du monde. En effet, la population locale vit à un rythme plutôt lent, mange ce qui est planté et apprécie ses traditions. Ce fut très enrichissant de se fondre dans une culture différente.

Mais pour conclure, le plus beau était le fait que nous faisions partie d’un groupe d’amis et de famille génial avec qui nous avons passé des moments magiques.
